Teachers providing services through ShuoHao may have access to information that students provide through the ShuoHao registration and learning process where that information is necessary to provide lessons.
This may include information such as a student’s name, Chinese level, previous learning experience, learning goals, and other relevant information submitted during registration.
Teachers are expected to use this information only for purposes connected with providing ShuoHao educational services and not for unrelated purposes.
ShuoHao teachers may choose to connect their Google Calendar to ShuoHao to help them keep track of lessons booked through the ShuoHao platform.
When this feature is authorized, ShuoHao uses the Google connection only for the purpose of providing ShuoHao lesson and scheduling information to the teacher’s connected Google Calendar.
ShuoHao does not use this integration to read, retrieve, collect, or analyze a teacher’s existing personal Google Calendar events.
The integration is not used to collect information about a teacher’s personal appointments, activities, contacts, or other calendar events unrelated to ShuoHao.
Information provided through the integration is used only as necessary to provide the calendar and scheduling functionality requested by the teacher. ShuoHao does not sell Google user data or use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated marketing purposes.
ShuoHao’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Teachers may choose not to connect their Google Calendar. Where the connection has been authorized, teachers may revoke ShuoHao’s Google access through their Google account permissions.
We use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors interact with the ShuoHao website.

ShuoHao’s services are primarily designed and marketed for adults.
However, a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult may create and manage an account and arrange educational services on behalf of a child.
Where information about a child is provided to us by an adult, we use that information only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested educational services, manage lessons, communicate with the responsible adult, and operate the child’s learning account.
Parents or guardians may contact us if they have questions or wish to request deletion of personal information relating to a child for whom they manage an account.
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
